We have the honor and privilege of co-laboring with the Harvest School of Ministry students and they are stepping out in faith this year, as many have been going out in groups and meeting at places in the Marketplace, like soup kitchens, bars, cafe's to find God's treasures and practice what they are learning. This past Sunday Night a group of leaders decided to go to a see a movie together, but GOD had a bigger purpose than just entertainment. The movie "Victor" was so powerful and life-changing and a very good ministry tool for winning souls, as it's based on a true story about a local Pastor, Victor Torres who got radically saved and started his own rehabilitative program for youth called New Life Outreach Center International. http://www.newlife1.org/ After the movie, we were standing around chit-chatting in the foyer of the theater and another church called Bringing God's Word to Life Ministries (www.bgwlm.org) was there and asked if we could pray together for Richmond! It was so powerful and after we prayed together for about 15 minutes The Lord gave me a word of knowledge, as my left knee started twitching. So when they asked if there was anything else to pray about, I boldly asked if anyone had issues with their left knee? Immediately two people raised their hand. The whole team went over and prayed for a lady named Tonya and she was healed! Then another lady near her named Jeanine got healed of a locked knee! Then sitting across the way, was this sweet lady named Joyce sitting on the seat of her walker. We went over and asked her if we could pray for her too and she said yes. After a few minutes she began to shout and praise the Lord and got up "on her own" and started dancing and praising the Lord! This went on for about 10 minutes, then she pushed the walker out of the way and walked out of the movie theater leaving her walker behind saying boldly, I'm walking out of here!!!!!! Needless to say, Holy Spirit was moving!! This other lady was standing near Joyce and had crutches and said she had hip problems. Although we never saw her put the crutches down, she left weeping and smiling at the overwhelming presence of GOD! I'm learning just show up, listen and let Him move!!! Debby

Upon awakening this morning, I heard the song Stairway to Heaven playing in my head. Interesting enough I haven't heard that song in many years. So I pulled up the lyrics on my iPhone and was thinking about what the writer must have been thinking, feeling or even experiencing as they wrote that song. I immediately felt in my spirit that it's all about an encounter, that every song written was from someone's real life experience or encounters they or someone else told them about.
So for me, my stairway to heaven wake-up song is a sign that Holy Spirit showed me that is making me wonder about the "lady who's SURE all that glitters is gold" and that "words do have two meanings". Think about it, and let it make you wonder!!! Debby p.s. and there's still time to change the road you're on! |
